CloudyPOS is made by CIYNX Solutions, a software company in Accra building tools for African businesses, most of them in the informal sector: the stalls, shops, salons and chop bars that keep cities running.

Most businesses here are run from a notebook and a phone.
The informal sector is where most people in Africa earn a living, yet most software is built for someone else: a big office, a steady connection, a card machine. We build for the counter that loses power at noon, the owner who is in traffic when a cashier needs her, and the trader whose records live in an exercise book.
Every product we make starts from that counter. It has to work on the phone people already own, keep going when the network drops, and speak the language of Mobile Money and WhatsApp. When records are kept properly, they do more than settle the day: they help a business plan, and they help it be seen.
